EP 24: Shannon Paris - When Life Happens
Wednesday Nov 18, 2020
Wednesday Nov 18, 2020
Shannon Paris is the Community Advocate & Operations Director at The What Works Network where she makes it look easy to bring together a group of diverse, small business owners to share tips, tools, frustrations and triumphs and she’s always looking for ways to keep the community engaged. Formerly, Shannon was a buyer for Ten Thousand Villages which is a fair trade retail non-profit organization. During that time she saw first hand the amazing effects of business ownership on artisans in developing economies. She identified herself heavily with her career, so when she was laid off a few years ago, she found herself a little “at sea”. We talk about her transition to a career as a Community Manager in a digital workspace that she didn’t even know existed and how that has become a place for her to truly grow into herself. She’s discovered that her passion for transforming lives and economies through business leadership is one that she can take with her wherever she lands.
